Windows 11 comes with some new Widgets. Here’s how to add or remove, access, customize, resize, and rearrange those widgets.

Panels “Widgets” in Windows 11 gives you a lot of information from various sources and programs. Widgets panel can be accessed via Taskbar icon or by pressing keyboard combination Windows+W.

Widgets can help you stay up to date on local and international events or happenings. This includes, among other things, weather, sports, traffic, to-do lists, and images from Microsoft Drive. You now have news tailored to your interests in addition to the widget.

In the Widgets panel of Windows 11, you can also add or remove widgets, resize and rearrange them, and customize the content of the widgets. Here’s how to do it.

How to add or remove widgets in Windows 11 is quite easy and simple. Before you proceed, identify the widgets that you want to add or remove based on your needs and interests.

To access the Widget, first click the icon “Widgets” on the Taskbar or press the button Windows+W.

Click the profile icon in the top right corner, or the “Add Widget” to add Widgets.

Now, window”Widget settings” will be launched and all available widgets will be displayed. The ones that have been added will have a check mark next to them while the rest will have a plus sign. Click the plus sign next to the widget to add it.

Many of you may have added too many widgets and want to remove them. Apart from that, it is recommended that you only keep the relevant widgets and keep the space clean to make it pleasing to the eye.

To remove a widget, click ellipsis icon in the top right corner of the widget that you want to remove.

How to Customize Widgets in Windows 11

Widgets in Windows 11 can be customized as per your requirements, and display what you want to see. Let’s see how you can customize the widget. We will take some examples to help you get to know the concept.

To customize the widget, click ellipsis icon in the top right corner of the widget and select “Customize Widget” from the drop-down menu.

When you customize a sports widget, it prompts you to search for a team or league to follow up with scores. Search in “Search box“, select, then click “Done” at the bottom to save changes.

When you customize the Weather widget, you will be prompted to search for a location/city or ask Windows to detect it automatically and select “Units” for temperature. When finished, click “Save” in the below section.

When you customize the Traffic widget, you have the option to detect your location automatically. If you select the checkbox for “Specify default location“, find and add one, and click “Save” in the below section.

Other widgets also offer customization according to the name of the widget. Try one and I’m sure you’ve got the hang of it.

In terms of size, Windows 11 offers three size options, Small, Medium, or Large. However, resizing only affects the length of the widget tile and not its width.

  • To resize the widget, first, click ellipsis icon in the upper right corner.
  • The first three options in the menu that appears are to adjust the size of the widget (small, medium and large), select the option you want.

How to Reset Widgets in Windows 11

You can easily rearrange the widgets and place the ones you use frequently on top or as you wish.

To rearrange the widgets, hover over the widget anything and the cursor will change to an open white hand. Now, hold and drag widget to the desired position. When dragging, the cursor will change to a closed white hand.

Once you move the widget to the desired position, release the mouse button. Other widgets will also be reset automatically.
