Here’s a guide on how to create a Discord Webhook to send messages to multiple servers/channels at once. Webhook allows you to automate actions between two services.

Webhooks are mostly used in two ways on Discord. One is to send messages automatically when an action is triggered on another service.

For example, you can connect YouTube and Discord and get notified when a new video is uploaded on the channel. While the other option is to send messages to several servers at once.

How to Create a Discord Webhook

To create a webhook for your Discord server, you have to enable the Manage Webhook permission first. Here’s how to create a webhook on Discord.

1. First open the server where you want to create a webhook. Now open the server settings by clicking on the server name on the top right and then select the option Server Settings in the dropdown menu.

2. Then click Integrations in the sidebar then select Webhooks.

3. Click button Create webhook.

4. Now name the webhook and select the channel. When you link this webhook to another service, you will start receiving messages on the channel you have defined here.

5. You also have the option to select a profile picture. So that you will get a message with the profile name and profile picture that you have mentioned.

6. Click Copy Webhook URL for use in the next process.

There he is. You have successfully created your first webhook. Now you can use this webhook to set up automated messages or send messages to multiple servers at once.

How to Send Messages to Multiple Servers/Channels With Dischook

Previously, this process could be done via Google Apps Script by creating a JSON file. But now, you can use Discohook’s free tool to compose messages and send them to multiple servers without changing any code.

Also, you can see a preview of the message in the right side panel, so that you can know how your message will look once sent.

1. Go to the Dischook website

and click options clear all at the top to delete the demo and start a new one.

2. Now paste the URL of the Discord Webhook which you have copied in the previous step.

3. The essence of using Discohook is to send messages to several servers/channels at once. So click option Add Webhook and
add webhook from another server or channel.

Continue the process and add as many webhooks as you like. Once you send a message via Discohook, it will reach every server/channel connected to the webhook.

4. Then add the content in the Content section which you want to fill the message.

5. Then click options Files and upload your file. Discord supports file sizes up to 8MB by default. So make sure your file is no more than that.

6. Also, with Discohook, you can send messages with an embed. Click
Add Embed to start.

7. You can embed image, title, content, author section and more. You will see a preview in the right window pane after you pin the content. You can add as many embeds as you like by clicking on options Add Embed.

8. You can also add as many messages as you like by clicking on the option Add Message. So that you can send multiple messages at once to multiple channels.

9. When finished, click options Send at the top next to Discord Webhook.

It will send all the messages that you have added to all the Discord servers that you have connected to.

How to Connect Two Different Services to Send Messages Automatically

Once you create a Discord webhook, you have to connect it with a third-party service. Once the action is triggered on a 3rd party service, we will receive a message on the Discord channel.

But not all services support Discord webhook functionality. For example, some services like GitHub support webhooks natively.

But for many other services like Twitter and YouTube, you have to rely on third-party options like Zapier or IFTTT. Here we are using IFTTT.

1. First, go to the IFTTT website, login and click on options Create at the top.

2. Now click on options Add next to If This to add a trigger.

3. Here you can search for any service. we will link to Twitter as an example.

4. Then IFTTT will display all the triggers for the selected service. select one trigger which you want to use.

5. Now click on options AddThen It will integrate the Discord webhook.

6. On the next page, look for options Webhooks and select.

7. Then select Make a web request.

8. On the next page, paste it Discord webhook URL copied in the URL section.

9. Below Methodselect an option POSTand below
Content-Type select application/json.

10. Now fill in the section Additional Header and Body. It will appear as the header and body for the Discord message you receive. You can also use materials like {{UserName}}, etc. to personalize the message.

Since there is no guide for the message, here is an example we created by setting a Twitter post as a trigger.

11. When finished, click Create action.

That’s it, you have successfully created a Discord webhook and also created a trigger to receive messages. Try it now.
