Adding video to a Microsoft Word document, on the other hand, is another issue that users may not consider or do to add completeness to the document. As a result, your document will be different from other documents, where you can play videos via Ms Word.

This article will show you how to insert a video into a Microsoft Word document. Actually, Word already provides this service, but because it rarely does so not many people know about it.
How to Insert Video into Microsoft Word
Here are the steps to add a video to a Microsoft Word document. To get started, open your Word document and enable developer options. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Open your Word document and go to “File“.
2. Then click “Options” (see image below).
3. Then select and click “Customize Ribbon“.
4. Check the box in front “Developer” and click “ok“.
Once you follow these steps, you will see a tab
developer on your Word document as shown below.

Now you are ready to insert your video into your Word document. Click “Developer tab“, open Controls, and click the icon labeled “Legacy Tools” as shown in the image below.
Click on “Legacy Tools” and then from the drop down menu (under ActiveX Controls) click on the icon labeled “More Controls” and a dialog box like below will appear. Scroll down until you find “Windows Media Player“, select it, and click the button “ok“.
Once you click the Ok button, you will see Windows Media Player displayed on your Word document (as shown below). This stage is also a good time to set the height and width of your Media Player by dragging the margins of the player. You have to make these adjustments now, as they won’t be able to be made afterwards.
Windows Media Player will not play any content at this time. To load content into Windows Media Player, follow the steps below.
Right click on Windows Media Player and select “PropertiesYou will see a box at the far left of your screen as below. Click
Categorized on the box shown on your screen to add content for Windows Media Player embedded in Word.
A dialog box (as below) will appear, allowing you to use the “Browse” to search for the video that you want to add to your Word document. If you have, then click on the button “ok“.
At this stage, your video is ready to play – you just need to exit “Fashion Design“. To play your video in your Word document, go to “Developer Tab” and click “Fashion Design” – the video automatically starts playing.
Now your video is ready to play.
To delete this video, click “Fashion Design” again and press
The downside of adding offline videos (or videos stored on your computer) to a Word document is that they will only play on your PC. Videos added from your computer will not play if you send the document to someone else.
